Demonstration of His Righteousness

The “righteousness of God” refers to His faithfulness to His promises, and this is demonstrated in the salvation He has provided in Jesus .  Paul stresses the “ righteousness of God ” revealed in the gospel, which is the “ power of God for salvation to everyone who believes ,” a “ righteousness ” that is proclaimed throughout the earth to “ Jew and Greek ” alike. And by the “ righteousness of God ,” he means  HIS  “ righteousness ” - God's  faithfulness   to His wayward creatures.

Controversy at Galatia

The key issue in Galatia is whether Gentiles must be circumcised and keep some, at least, of the deeds required by the Torah .  Paul’s letter to the Galatians is his response to a controversy in the churches of Galatia. The issue is the status of Gentile believers. Must they conform to Jewish practices and submit to the regulation of the Mosaic Law, especially the rite of circumcision?

Revelation of Jesus in 1 Peter

SYNOPSIS  -  Peter exhorts Christians to persevere in suffering and persecution, and to live holy lives in the knowledge of Christ’s impending return  -  1 Peter 3:3-12 . I n his first epistle, Peter addressed Christians in Asia Minor who were experiencing pressure to conform to the demands and expectations of the surrounding pagan society. The situation was not unique to his churches - They were part of a worldwide suffering community. A dominant theme in this letter to them was the call to persevere through their sufferings and persecution.

Babylon's Fall Announced

Angels announce the judicial sentence on Babylon and the inhabitants of the earth, but "rest" awaits the followers of the Lamb .  Next, “ another angel ” announces the “ fall of Babylon ,” and he is followed by “ a third angel ” who pronounces the judicial sentence on the men who gave their allegiance to the “ Beast ,” namely, torment by “ fire and brimstone .” God is about to vindicate His “ martyrs .”
